All ART TO WEAR clothing lines are handcrafted in our Brooklyn and Wappingers Falls workshops by accomplished artisans; using silkscreen, hand painted block prints, hand-dyed fabric and fabric applique techniques. Our clothing lines are carried coast-to-coast by hundreds of stores. We also have our own shop in Cold Spring-on-Hudson New York.

The Staley/Gretzinger company was first founded in 1986 by designers Meg Staley and Jerry Gretzinger and has become a distinctive brand with worldwide presence. The original company has been recently re-organized under a new name, ART TO WEAR, with Jerry’s daughter, Nelle Gretzinger as President and Retail Manager, Marilyn Heberling as one of the owners.

Designers Meg and Jerry have always had an eye for offbeat, innovative styles. As a rep for a Soho Showroom, Meg helped launch the careers of the then unknown designers Todd Oldham and Anna Sui. Jerry has a background in Archaeology and handbag design. Both bring a wealth of experience and talent in textile design, graphic images and comfortable clothing styles. Their talents have now been enhanced by the playful but sophisticated designs of Marco Lee.
